The Metamorphosis of Karaghiozis by Leonidas Kassapides epitomizes the comical tradition of Greek Shadow Theatre ,PARANOIX also presents the stories Karaghiozis the Doctor, The ghost at the castle, Karaghiozis the Lawyer, Karaghiozis and the seven monsters and Karaghiozis' Wedding. The shows are forty to sixty minutes long and can be performed in English or Greek.

Leonidas Kassapides established the PARANOIX (pronounced Para nwar) SHADOW THEATRE COMPANY as a way of experimenting with theatrical and cultural ideas on a small scale. Since its birth in 1989 it has seen thousands of audiences, students, and devoted fans.
PARANOIX breaks cultural, social, and economic boundries and fits in with millions of performance and educational scenarios.
Leonidas Kassapides was born in Thessaloniki Greece where he lived until the age of 19. This upbringing laid the groundwork for his culturally rich career and is the reason for his fluency in the Greek and English languages.
Leon used his training from Anatolia College (Thessaloniki, Greece) and Berea College (Berea, KY, USA -- Graduated with a B.A. emphasis on directing) to pursue colorful and exciting achievements in writing, directing, performing, and teaching.
