One of the eagerly anticipated features of a National Festival is the Puppet Exchange, a room on campus organized into a store in which you browse and buy: puppets, books, materials, t-shirts, tote-bags – just about anything that has something to do with puppetry. Sometimes folks even put an entire collection or show on sale. Remember the first 50 registrants to the festival have first dibs on everything at the Exchange.
You can also work with the directors of the store to place your own items for sale on consignment. Individuals interested in selling items at the national festival store may submit their contact information to the Puppetry Store. Vendors who complete their paperwork prior to July 6th will secure the 25% commission retained by the store. Any paperwork received after July 6th or at the festival will secure a 30% commission by the store. International vendors must be present at the festival to consign items. Vendors may sell any puppetry related item that is not currently part of the Puppetry Store catalog. To view the catalog go on line to the store at the POA Website.
